A church cannot flourish without volunteers.  Here are some ways you can volunteer at Avoca:

CD Ministry:  Those who serve on our CD Ministry rotation are responsible for making CD copies of each Sundays sermon.  These CD's are sent to the homebound or are sold at the CD Ministry desk for $1 a copy.  We keep a master copy of every Sunday's service should someone want a sermon from the past.  Each volunteer serves one Sunday every month.  If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Jerry Leeper at jleeper@avocachristianchurch.org.

Communion Prep:  Someone has to fill up those communion trays for Sunday service.  Currently, Sandra Adams is over this ministry.  If you feel led to help with this service, please call Sandra at 423-878-8652.

Drama:  Our drama team at Avoca is always looking for new actors/actresses.  Though you may never win an Oscar, you can use your talent to touch the lives of those who watch.  The drama ministry performs on occasional Sunday mornings, special once a year productions and also helps out during VBS and other church ministries.  If you would like to be a part of this team, please call Patty Booher at 423-283-4907.

Sound Tech:  Do you enjoy the technical side of things?  Our sound crew could use some extra hands.  Bandy Brownlee is the contact person and he can set up a training date to show you the ropes.  He can be reached at 423-968-7101.

Computer Tech:  Are you good with computers?  Are you a good listener and someone who is not easily distracted?  If so, then this job is for you.  Our computer tech crew is responsibile for keeping the correct words on the screen at all times during the Sunday services and on special occasions.  This means keeping up with songs and following along with sermon notes.  If this sounds like an interest for you, please contact Jerry Leeper at jleeper@avocachristianchurch.org.

Greeters and Ushers:  Everyone likes to be greeted when they enter a church.  A simple "hello" can make someone feel welcome in a new place.  If you are a friendly person and would like to greet and hand out bulletins as people enter our church, please call the church office at 423-844-1080 or email office@avocachristianchurch.org.

Nursery/Toddler:  Tadpole Park houses our nursery/toddler aged children.  We are constantly growing, which means more hands are always helpful.  If you would be intrested in serving on a one-Sunday-a-month rotation, please email office@avocachristianchurch.org or christy@avocachristianchurch.org.
